Bikes to Africa fundraising event Thurs 13th Jan 7.30pm at Cumberland Arms - pub quiz, disco and raffle draw

Recyke Y'Bike regularly sends bicycles to projects in  African countries via Re~cycle in Colchester.  So we can send more we are running a pub quiz and disco at the wonderful Cumberland Arms on Thursday 13th Jan from 7.30pm to 11.  All proceeds of tickets and raffle will be reserved for covering the increasing transport costs that hiring a lorry involves.
To buy tickets, a very reasonable £2.50 each, call in to Recyke Y'Bike in Byker ( http://www.recyke-y-bike.org )
or call 0191 265 4197 to reserve your entrance tickets.  You can also buy raffle tickets for bike related prizes including generous vouchers (to £200 value)  for our refurbished bicycles and other items on sale.

A recent article in the magazine Ride http://www.theridejournal.com/what_is_the_ride.html
by  a pastor in South Africa who runs the Bokamoso Bicycle Project pointed up the many benefits that your old bikes bring to communities without proper roads and non-existant public transport and also the inspiration that the work of Recyke Y'Bike and Re~Cycle brings to the people there.

So please help us do more and have a good time on Thursday 13th.

All the best

Dorothy Craw
